I was listening to Bro. Jeremy Lang preach on one of his live feeds; he said something that I had never really thought about before.

He said, "One person said it this way. If you bury someone before they are dead, you've committed a crime!". He went on to say, " What about if you bury (baptize) someone before they've died out to the flesh (sin)?

How dangerous it is to bury someone alive spiritually! If they haven't repented and put the...

Consecration Of A Warrior

Posted by Joseph Green on February 17, 2018 at 2:00 PM

I am a student of history. I enjoy reading about things that have happened in the past. I enjoy watching T.V. programs that deal with archaeology and history. I am intersted in United States history. Such subjects as the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, and various other happenings in our country's past. What I probably enjoy most is Biblical history and history of Christianity. One of the things I like to learn about is the Crusades, a very dark time in...

Reading Of The Word

Posted by Joseph Green on January 31, 2018 at 2:40 PM

Today I was looking around my office at all the Bibles that I have. I counted 40 just that I could see immediately. I didn't count my wife Susan's Bibles or any Bibles that used to belong to family members that have passed. I enjoy collecting Bibles. I love the Word of God and enjoy studying His Word. I have 11 Bibles on my desk that I use to study when I am writing sermons or preparing to write this blog. Some of my collection just sits on a shelf and ra...

His Sanctuary

Posted by Susan Green on January 14, 2018 at 4:55 PM

There's a beautiful chorus that we sing at church that I really love, but I found that I was singing it without really listening to the words. When I did, it really spoke to my heart and took on a whole new meaning for me.  I thought I might share with you what I learned. . . .

Lord, prepare me, to be a sanctuary,

pure and holy, tried and true.

And with thanksgiving, I'll be a living,

sanctuary, for you.

In all I do let me glorify You!

Posted by Joseph Green on December 28, 2017 at 2:15 PM

Wow! What a tough time I’m having writing this blog today. I actually began writing it yesterday but things were not coming out. My wife told me that she thought I had something to write. I said I do but I am having trouble getting it down, maybe I’ll just start hitting the keys and let God take over. It was a great blog I thought, the words just started to roll out. It was as if God’s fingers were tapping the keys on the keyboard, until…...everything just came to a s...

Being Thankful

Posted by Joseph Green on November 21, 2017 at 1:00 PM

Here it is November again. And while it means different things to different people, birthdays, anniversaries, loss of loved ones, for all of us, it means Thanksgiving. That time of the year when families gather around a table together and think about what they are thankful for. It's a time when we reach out to those that are less fortunate than we are.

In recent years however, Thanksgiving has been reduced to "T...

Strength In Tribulation

Posted by Joseph Green on October 28, 2017 at 11:10 AM

Yesterday I sat down to write this blog, but I just could not concentrate. I have been suffering pain in my lower back for days now and it has really ruined my concentration on a lot of my work lately. While I try my best to keep my focus on God sometimes the flesh prevails. That's not the way I want it, but in my weakness I guess I succomb to the flesh. I try to be strong. Notice that I said: " I try to be strong", "I" ... I forgot to get God involved. I...

A valley signifies a low point in a piece of land; usually between two hills or mountains.

A spiritual valley is a low point between our mountain top experiences.

There have been many times in my life when I found myself in a “valley”.

The mountain top experiences are wonderful. God pours out his spirit abundantly, and his presence is everywhere; but, alas, life drags us from the top of the mountain, sometimes the desent is slow, a...

I like to remind my son (now 36) how much pain he caused me. 15 1/2 hrs. of hard labor ending in a c-section.This was after 4 or 5 months of extreme constant sickness. There are many women who've been through much worse than that to bring their babies into the world. There are some women who have went thru very stressful pregancies and difficult labor several times! WHY? What would make anyone want to knowingly go through all that pain and hurt? For the same rea... Read Full Post »
